Steelers WR Wallace to stay in Pitt but at what cost?

Mike Wallace the Steelers wide receiver is an restricted free agent. This means people can offer him contracts but the Steelers have a chance to reply with an offer of their own but no one did so he is set to stay a Steeler. This really comes at no surprise as Rooney said they wanted to keep him and give him a long term deal. Wallace said that he wants to stay in Pittsburgh but will not show up to any training's or work outs without a revised deal. This could cost the Steelers valuable developing time with him.

Little to no chance

The penguins are down 3-0 against the flyers going into their game tonight. If the flyers win, which everyone expects them to do the series will be over and the flyers will move on. The penguins have been pathetic on defense this series letting up 8 goals in their last 2 games. Now, with the suspensions of neal and asham they will be short. A recap of this series is that the flyers won game 1 4-3, game 2 8-5 and game 3 8-4.

Saints looking for replacements for Payton for 2012 season

Since the NFL came down on the Saints pretty hard for the bounty system suspending head coach Sean Payton for the entire 2012 season, the Saints organization are looking for someone to fufill the role of head coach. The Saints are looking at the offensive coordinatior, defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. Sean Payton is going to be suspended in a few weeks and up until the day after the Superbowl so they are in for the long haul.

Still sane in March?

If your still sane in March then your either a bracket guru or not a fan of college basketball. ESPN reported that absolutely no one has a perfect bracket or close to a perfect bracket with 2 # 15 seeds beating #2 teams this tournament is one of the most insane ones yet. There are so many upsets that the round of 16 will be one for the history books.

Whats going on with the Steelers organization???

Earlier this week, the Steelers informed wide receiver Hines Ward  and defensive end Aaron Smith that they would be released, and guard Chris Kemoeatu was cut. Now another player, James Farrior is being cut as well.  I do not understand what is going on in that organization. They did not franchise tag Mike Wallace because if they did he would be getting $9 million but doesn't he deserve a long term contract? He is your star receiver and you already got rid of your veteran wide receiver. Instead they are going to tender him. This means people can offer him contracts and Steelers can try to match it. The Steelers are going down hill quickly and some of these managerial decisions aren't too smart.

Daytona 500: A Crazy Race

After the race being pushed back to Monday at 1pm the race was again pushed back due to rain. The rain covered the track until it was finally cleaned and dried off and the race began around 7pm. When the race began the drivers didn't wait to get the bumping and drafting till later in fact a wreak on lap 2 caused Danica Patrick and Jimmie Johnson to receive serious damage. The Race went on normally after that with wreaks, lead changes, pit stops until an unexpected thing happened. On a caution lap Juan Montoya had car troubles and couldn't control his car from smashing into a safety truck with a jet dryer on the back carrying 200 gallons of kerosene. The jet dryer exploded right away causing a burst of flames. Everyone was okay but it caused the race to be red flagged for almost 2 and a half hours. Finally when the race finished Matt Kenseth won, Dale Earnhardt Jr finished 2nd, Greg Biffle got 3rd, Denny Hamlin placed 4th, and Jeff Burton placed in the 5th position. The race was a crazy one and the first Daytona 500 to be rain delayed in the history of the race so maybe that was a sign for the events to come. All I know is that the next race is going to a good one.

Manny Ramirez back in the MLB

Manny Ramirez is back out of retirement and with the Oakland Athletics. The deal is worth about $500,000. Before Manny can play a single game he has to sit out 50 of them for violating the leagues drug policy. If all goes according to plan and Ramirez is fit and healthy and drug free he can play on June 2nd vs Kansas City.
